Looking back at a year of the MASSB Minute, previewing our 2024 website refresh, and reminding boards that 2023 metrics are due January 22.
Greetings everyone. As we approach the festive season, we have an opportunity to reflect on this year and the compassion that defines our commitment to our local communities and vulnerable populations. Throughout this year we have made a profound impact on our communities through volunteering, while working closely with our local social services departments and other organizations in the community. Indeed, volunteering stands as a cornerstone in fortifying the foundation of our community's well-being and your dedication as volunteers embodies the essence of care and empathy. Your efforts not only provide immediate assistance but also foster an environment of inclusivity, while advancing social justice.
As we continue our work across our communities, I also want to emphasize the importance of feedback from the members of the local advisory boards. Your insights, experiences, and suggestions are instrumental in shaping the direction of MASSB, including the development of our new website. Together, we can create a stronger, more supportive community through collaboration, thereby addressing the needs of vulnerable populations. Thank you for your unwavering dedication and commitment to uplifting our community. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season filled with kindness, and the fulfillment that comes from giving back to our communities.
Best,
Tony
We introduced the MASSB Minute in 2022 to share experience and ideas, and connect us as a community of volunteers. We hope you've found this resource useful, and perhaps picked up an idea or two. We've covered lots of topics and introduced some amazing board members as you can see in the year's summary, below.
Next year we'll turn the spotlight on the programs and services of DHS. Please help us keep our newsletter interesting and relevant by submitting topic suggestions and sharing the activities of your board. You are doing great work…let's shine a light on it in 2024!
We're refreshing our Foundation's website to improve its functionality, including a new section for local board contacts and news. Please stand by for guidance on how you can take advantage of this resource for your county!
Reminder! 2023 Metrics Due January 22
Keeping track of your finances and who you have helped is critical for describing the impact of your board's work to potential donors and board members. It's also a requirement for the MASSB Foundation's tax return. Be on the lookout for the metrics collection sheet that will be e-mailed to your Chair and Finance Officer in December. Review the Finance and Metrics presentation from the conference to learn how to use the Logic Model to tell your story.
